The Valentine day is gone, however, the frauds involving LOVE LURE continues. Never ever trust the online love says Cdr Sunil Srivastava (retd), Director Cyber Crime Helpline LLP from Pune. If one thinks that one can find genuine love online for the heart broken, it is wrong generally. Gone are the days when in earlier days, one could find some genuine people. These days, the profiles are fake and difficult to establish the genuine ones. 

Off late, the fraudsters are on the prowl to target the love seekers. They offer joining their clubs or group by paying small amounts and then the fraud begins. Handling charges and personalized meetings' charges are the next to rob you off your hard earned money. 

There is another risk factor involved in it. The social media acquaintance tries to play the emotional card and some how makes you believe that it is the love pulling them closer and then they start sharing their intimate pics online…..leading them to stressful moments later. Apart from this, the real danger starts when they start calling on video and expressing or revealing themselves!! 

Thereafter, the call comes that their video will be online and shared with friends and relatives. Or else, one needs to pay certain amount of money….

ONCE YOU PAY, YOU MAY LAND UP IN MORE TROUBLE AS IT IS YOUR EXPRESSED FEAR WHICH WILL NOW BE EXPLOITED BY THEM.

 Please make an online cyber complaint on the national portal www.cybercrime.gov.in and thereafter, call the fraudster and clearly tell them that now the cyber cell police is waiting for the evidence for you to post it to the family and friends !!! In most of the cases, the fraudsters will start abusing you and eventually block you.
